Chandresh Patel
Besides my family, I have two passions in life: I.T. and property.
I have been an I.T. professional for more than 20 years and a property investor since 2011.
My property portfolio includes buy-to-let properties, providing commercial loans for other investors and developers, and serviced accommodation properties to ensure I stay diversified within my property venture
Why?
I didn’t have money.
I didn’t have direction.
I didn’t have purpose.
I didn’t have an education.
I didn’t have any idea what to do with my life.
I didn’t have money.

I didn’t have an education.
I didn’t have any idea what to do with my life.
I didn’t come from a wealthy background growing up in a low income household. I worked in factories and restaurants to supermarkets, cleaning, food delivery, and manual labour, have left an indelible mark on me. They've ingrained in me an unwavering appreciation for the value of hard-earned money, a lesson I carry with me to this day. A reminder of these humble beginnings sits on my desk in the form of my Tesco's badge, keeping me grounded and appreciative of how far I've come.
The challenges I faced during those times ignited a strong desire to succeed, particularly in the face of skeptics who perceived me as a failure waiting to happen. This determination propelled me towards the world of I.T., a path that not only fulfilled my professional aspirations but also fuelled my ambition to venture into the property market. Proudly, I achieved my initial goal of owning a rental property, which was just the beginning. Over time, this aspiration evolved into a portfolio of multiple properties.
This is a feat I take immense pride in, considering my unconventional route without conventional academic credentials.

The history behind our £1.1 Million BTL portfolio
2004
2014
2023
1st property purchased as main residence (£111k).
Purchased 2nd BTL property (£143k).
We put some of our redundant funds to use rather than letting inflation erode it, we loaned £100k to a property developer and £50k to another developer for a healthy return.
2011
Purchased larger main residence property as due to the birth of our 1st child. The 1st property now became a BTL.
2022
Purchased 3 new build properties for BTL (£615k). With the volatility in the property market, I dropped out of purchasing another new build property.
What Next?
As you've seen from my journey from having no money to where I am today, I have a strong desire to continue on my journey, helping as many people as I can along the way I feel like I've only just begun and will continue to learn, challenge myself, step outside of my comfort zone and adapt to succeed.
My traditional method of purchasing property and renting has now evolved into the B4R strategy for which I am opening up additional investor places to add to my list.
